We got a short note from Ryan today -- he spent most of his computer time trying to get photos to upload, but that didn't work out too well. He says the computers in the MTC have HIGH security on them and it is hard to do anything.... so we will hope for a picture next time. We also got to chat for a bit last night (WONDERFUL), and we will be getting to talk again on Tuesday. (CAN'T WAIT). My phone alerts me immediately if I get an email from him so part of his time was also spent today emailing back and forth like texting.... (LOVE IT)... So, for what it is worth, here are a few words from Elder Tuckett:
It is great to hear that you guys have been so busy at work!:)
Tell Grandma she is my hero for getting all that dental work done. [my mom has been here having some work done]
I found Katie Duffin and found out she is going to the same mission as everyone else in my district, but she is Spanish Speaking! CRAZY! However, I haven't seen her since the first day so I can't introduce her to my district! I also found Mitch Buckley and found out that his companion was in my Mission Prep Class! lucky Him! It was great seeing them! :)
I got my pants, thanks! I have only worn two pairs of pants so far (one for each suit)
I am so happy Dad is in love with my truck still! Everyone is telling me that their parents are all selling their cars, then I say, "Nope, my truck is a beast so we are keeping it!"
I hope you are ready for my phone call! I will probably call you from Cali because Utah phones are always taken by missionaries, so I hear. We have two hours in between.
The food is amazing here and it sucks because I have gained so much weight I don't look the same already! :( I really hope I get to ride my bike a lot in NZ!
I love that quote you gave me on the Jan 23rd letter from Dear Elder! I carry it with me now! The one from Elder Holland! Speaking of Elder Holland, we got to hear from him last week. It was amazing!
This is all I have time to write now, I hope you got my pictures, I wish I could write comments on them and what they are... Mostly of my district which is now my second family. It is going to be hard to leave them.
Love,
Elder Tuckett
Here is the quote I sent him:
"Don't you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead. Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don't come until heaven. But for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come. It will all be right in the end. Trust God, and believe in good things to come." -- Jeffrey R Holland
